Trenton Acadians fall to Bangor 6-1

first_imgBLUE HILL — Bangor’s Peter Kemble pitched a complete game one-hitter, allowing only a triple for the Trenton Acadians’ baseball team on Tuesday. Bangor won 6-1.Trenton’s Nick Bagley threw 60 pitches and notched seven strikeouts.Bangor’s Sam Houston and Ben Chrichton each had two singles while Kyle Stevenson and Peter Kemble each had a single.Acadians pitcher Will Ricker pitched well in defeat, going 4 2/3 innings and giving up three runs, none earned as the Acadians made five errors on the day.This is placeholder textThis is placeholder textTrenton 13, Waldo 3Mount Desert Island’s Tom Paola pitched five strong innings for the Trenton Acadians, leading them past Waldo 13-3 on Saturday at George Stevens Academy.Paola gave up one earned run, allowed five hits, struck out five and walked one.The Acadians’ offense started off with a bang, batting around the order and plating five runs in the first inning. They continued scoring runs in every inning of the game.Joe Archambault, Seth Young and Dakota Chipman each had two singles. Anthony Bianco contributed a double. Conor Maguire and Hank Vinall each singled for the Acadians.Andrew Canning, Andrew Flagg and Drew Stanley each had two hits for Waldo, and Emery Dinsmore had a single. Drew Stanley took the loss on the mound.Trenton 13, Penquis 4The Acadians got off to another strong start on Thursday, scoring six runs in the first two innings against Penquis pitcher Brooks Law.Leading the way for the Acadians was Ellsworth’s Nick Bagley, who went 4-for-5 with three runs and two RBIs, including a double.Also for Trenton, Joe Archambault went 3-for-3 with four RBIs. Tony Bianco had a single, a double, three RBIs and scored three runs. Garrison Looke had three hits, including a double. Will Ricker had two singles. Kyle Taylor had a double. Finn McMahon, Dakota Chipman and Colin Pineo each singled.Colin Pineo earned his first American Legion victory on the mound with the help of three strong innings of relief from Dylan Colin.For Penquis, Brooks Law led the way offensively with three hits, including a triple and an RBI. Matt Spear had two singles, Billy Brock and Seth Clark doubled, and Brandon Young singled.Hampden 4, Trenton 3Hampden RH Foster scrapped out four hits, scoring four unearned runs to beat the Acadians in a contest that went right down to the wire on Wednesday at GSA.Hampden pitchers Casey Sudbeck, Jackson Gilmore and Brandon Smith’s group effort held the Acadians to five hits and resulted in the win. Ben Huston, Michael Turner, Connor Farmer each had a single while Zach Nash had a key two-out, two RBI double following a dropped foul popup with two outs in the sixth inning.Conor Maguire took the loss, giving up only four hits, striking out six and walking two. Jake Keenan led the Acadians’ offense with a double, single and two RBIs.
