Packaging equipment supplier Ulma has named Ed Williams as its new sales director.In the role, Williams will be responsible for overseeing Ulma’s UK sales network and providing tailored sales support to customers in industries such as bakery, meat and confectionary.Ulma said Williams had more than 20 years’ experience in senior sales, project and product management roles, and had been responsible for the strategic direction, enhancement and financial performance of a range of products and services in previous roles in the packaging sector.Williams worked for Multivac as a business unit manager for nine-and-a-half years, and before that worked as a key account sales manager for Marchesini Group.“Ed’s extensive experience in the packaging industry really helped him to stand out,” said Ulma managing director Chris Pickles. “His commercial awareness and proven ability to drive numerous initiatives to fruition, will complement our own commitment to delivering first-class customer care and forward-thinking industry leadership.”Ulma’s UK operation covers the UK and Ireland from its base at Worksop, while the business is represented in more than 40 countries through its own subsidiaries and a global network of distributors.
Chicago Rumor has it that after twice delaying her Broadway debut, Rumer Willis will begin performances as Roxie Hart on September 21 in Chicago. The Dancing with the Stars winner has been undergoing rehabilitation from multiple stress fractures in her foot and as she explains in her Instagram post to her fans, below, the delay is on doctor’s orders. Willis will now play a six-week limited engagement at the Ambassador Theatre through November 1. Dylis Croman is currently appearing as Roxie.Willis is the winner of ABC’s Dancing with the Stars season 20. She has previously appeared on stage in off-Broadway’s Love, Loss and What I Wore, For the Record Live’s Dear John Hughes, Baz Luhrmann’s DBA and FTR: Tarantino.
